Dripping Springs Pigskins
“ROOT DOWN, ROOT OUT”
Pigskins was brought to life in 2011 by a Drip community who wanted to support the Tiger Football program. Over a decade later, the organization has grown in size, but we have never lost our roots of “Drip community” nor the desire to support the Tiger Football program. Termed the “Fun Uncle”, we are an independent 501(c)(3) and work in concert with the Football Booster Club.
Our vision is “Root Down, Root Out”. We desire to utilize our community’s love of Tiger Football as a common language to bring Drip together. “Root Down” is a focus upon supporting Tiger Football—starting with our Dripping Springs High School program right down through the Middle School and Youth levels. Our desire is to provide an ever-improving experience for our Tiger Football players—one they use as a standard of future success and one they tell stories about all their lives. This part of our vision includes the fan experience at games, Tailgates, Breakfast Dads, Cornhole Tournament and much more.
“Root Out” is a desire to lock arms within our community. We recognize that football has an incredible audience and platform within our Dripping Springs community. We want to support our community as they are supporting our football team. The Pigskins seek to support other high school organizations that may not have the same fundraising opportunities. We also partner with other charities and non-profits at our events to showcase them to our Drip community. Finally, we must water the tree that provides the fruit. We could not fundraise without the incredible support of our community businesses. We want to promote our community businesses and you’ll hear “Drip Supports Drip” as a common theme within the Pigskins.

Cornhole TournamentThe Pigskin’s Rising Freshmen Cornhole tournament is held each Spring to welcome our Rising Freshmen into the Tiger Football program. Current Tiger families, Rising Freshmen families, Coaches and the community come together to toss some bags, enjoy music, and eat great food. This is another Pigskin’s fundraising event, but the primary focus is bringing Coaches, Players and Families together. Rising Freshmen players and families should not miss this event!

Pigskin GalaThe Pigskin’s Gala has become the hottest ticket in town! This is our most impactful fundraising event each year. Growing to over 450 guests, the Gala has become a blend of entertainment, music, food and auctions—all in Hill Country style! Gala is held each year just before the start of the Tiger Football season.

TailgateThe Pigskin’s Tiger Tailgates have taken new life and grown into a must attend event before each home game. A tradition born years ago, the current Tailgate takes place in the North Stadium Parking lot. Reserved parking, music, food, games, snow cones, ice cream…Tailgates are a family friendly environment that gets everyone fueled up for Friday Night Lights at Tiger Stadium. Come join us for pregame fun!

Breakfast DadsThe “Breakfast Dads” (aka “SSBD”) is a right of passage for parents as their player makes the Varsity roster. Each Saturday this group gathers early in the morning to being cooking breakfast for the entire Varsity football team and Coaches. The players enjoy the opportunity to break bread as they head off to their post-game film study. “Breakfast Dads” is a proud Varsity tradition within the Pigskins.

Scholarship CommitteeThe Pigskin’s Scholarship Committee is devoted to supporting our graduating Seniors. This Scholarship program is a complement to our Booster Club’s scholarship offerings. We are proud to say that our partnership has resulted in an awarded scholarship for every application from a qualifying Senior. The Pigskins organization has plans to grow this program significantly through fundraising events.
